This miraculous object exists, and it is beautiful what's more. It answers this existential question: how to store these things that we use daily and that we look for for hours when it's time to leave...

Pocket tray in solid wood of slightly warmed boxwood and local laburnum. The term "heated" refers to blackened areas caused by fungus which disappear once dry. Heated wood is very popular for the contrasts it produces.

Boxwood is one of the hardest and densest woods in Europe, like laburnum. This one was of a respectable age and had a diameter rarely achieved in my region. Acquired in 2015 from a pruner, I let it dry peacefully several years after cutting it up.

Today it reveals the finesse of its grain, its appearance close to marble, of a beautiful wavy yellow.

Hard oil finish, handmade, unique piece.
