Industrial Edison lamp in solid oak and laburnum key: the Edison Beam with a key

An old ageless oak beam was entrusted to me, split on all sides and made of heartwood. The ideal piece for creating industrial Edison lamps steeped in history! For this one I made a butterfly key in laburnum and inserted it forcefully into its gaping flaw to stabilize it permanently and give them a unique character.

Squared then aged with a worn band saw blade, its finely sanded faces bring out the ring of this venerable tree while retaining a magnificent character.

The E27 brass socket can accommodate a lampshade - not supplied -, 2m brown sheathed and woven cable, black vintage switch with orange indicator diode and Legrand loop socket for a harmonious whole in pure, timeless industrial style.
